India Mission Trip

“For Such a Time as This”

There are moments when you simply know—you are walking exactly where Yahweh has called you to be. This mission to India has been one of those moments.

What began as a journey that seemed impossible—seven flight changes in nine days, global conflict, and even a snowstorm in Minnesota—became a testimony before it truly began. Delays, reroutes, exhaustion… and yet, every obstacle gave way. Somewhere along the journey, even a simple conversation turned into sharing my testimony and speaking about how good Yahweh is.

By the time I arrived in India at 1:45 AM, completely exhausted, I already knew: Yahweh had gone before me.

A LOVE THAT HUMBLES

From the very first day of teaching, I encountered something that deeply moved me—honor.

Students would stop at the door and ask permission to enter. They asked permission to speak. Some quietly dusted my chair before I sat down. Their humility and respect weren’t taught as a rule—they were lived out daily.

One young woman stood out immediately—bright, thoughtful, eager to engage. Later, I learned she had been orphaned at just nine years old and had only learned English a year ago. Yet her understanding of Scripture was deep and powerful. Trauma had shaped part of her story—but Yahweh had redeemed it.

Another young woman shared her story in a quiet voice. She came from a home filled with abuse, where she was even denied food. After hearing the Good News, she chose to follow Jesus. When her family found out, they burned her Bible and threatened her life.

And still, she chose Him.

That reality stayed with me: In many places, people have the freedom to choose Yahweh—and don’t. Here, many don’t have that freedom—and choose Him anyway.

JOY IN ITS PUREST FORM

One of the most powerful moments of this journey happened in an orphanage. These children, who have so little, carried a joy that was impossible to ignore. A single balloon became a source of laughter, delight, and celebration. Their worship was passionate and genuine. Standing among them, I was reminded of a simple but profound truth:
Joy is not found in what we have—but in the posture of our hearts.

HOLY MOMENTS I WILL NEVER FORGET

There were moments throughout this trip that felt deeply sacred.

Women came forward after teaching and chapel, sharing stories of abuse, pain, and silence—many for the first time. In a culture where women are often discouraged from speaking, they chose courage and vulnerability.

I prayed over the sick—a baby unable to move, a child with a twisted spine, a woman in severe pain—trusting Yahweh in every moment.

One encounter stays with me deeply. A woman approached me for prayer, but we did not share a common language. After we prayed, she used a translation app to say:
“I feel the peace of the Lord when I embrace you.”

Tears filled her eyes and mine.

No shared words—yet complete understanding through the Spirit.

The Cost of Faith

Throughout this journey, I met people who have paid a high price to follow Yahweh. A young man shared that his family rejected him for his faith. Young women risk their safety daily because they refuse to walk away from Him. Families struggle to survive while holding tightly to their beliefs. In some places, even basic freedoms—like openly practicing religion or choosing a faith—come with restrictions and risks.

And still—they choose Him.

It is humbling. It is convicting. And it forces a deeper gratitude for the freedoms we often take for granted.

A World That Opens Your Eyes

India is full of contrast—beauty and hardship, simplicity and struggle.

I saw communities navigating rising fuel costs that deeply impact daily survival. I learned about cultural traditions centered on honor, humility, and generosity. I experienced firsthand how different life can look depending on where you are in the world.

And yet, beneath all the differences, one truth remains the same:

Every heart is searching for hope.
And that hope is found in Yahweh.

Leaving Changed

This journey has changed me in ways I am still processing.

Through the children who showed me joy

The women who trusted me with their stories

The believers who live out bold, unwavering faith

I leave with a deeper understanding of what it truly means to follow Yahweh—not in comfort, but in surrender.

Thank you to everyone who prayed, supported, and gave—this mission was not mine alone. You were part of every conversation, every prayer, every moment of impact. Your support made this possible, and I am deeply grateful.

Final Thought

We often think we are going to change the world.

But sometimes, Yahweh sends us across the world to change us.

In unity, under Yahweh,
Hope For The Brave ❤️
Be blessed. I love you.
